The Medical Center
Imagine this: A young woman gives birth to her child by the roadside, in the dark, in the mud, and in the rain because the nearest maternity ward is 30 km away and can only be reached on foot or by motorcycle. A child dies from a snake bite because there is no antivenom serum available. This and much more is unfortunately not a fantasy but a reality!
But this is now coming to an end with the construction of a Medical Center, with a maternity ward and pharmacy in Kavunzoni, Goshi sub-location, Kenya. The project started in April 2025, and 4 months later, the shell is complete. Now, water and electricity are needed. Water is available in a reservoir located 3 km away and can be bacteriologically filtered on-site. However, pumps and electricity, via solar panels, are needed to operate these and other devices and to light the building. Once again, Ministry of Solar from Ruiselede, Belgium is willing to help us with a tailor-made solution and with raising the necessary funds for this. Will you help too?
Ministry of Solar celebrates its 10th anniversary. A big congratulations from the entire Kitanda team on this milestone, and a warm thank you from our hearts because, since their early years, Ministry of Solar has been a loyal partner who not only helps find solutions but also shares in the charity spirit, specifically Solar Charity!
